The internet can connect us to people on the other side of the world in an instant, but it is all too easy to find that the people who live around us are complete strangers. People jump in the "tin bubble" of their cars and drive from their own front doors to distant destinations, bypassing completely their own neighbourhoods.
We are trying to do something about that in Seal by organising three evening sessions, on Thursday 3rd,10th and 17th April, from 7.30-9pm in the church hall. There will be representatives of various local organisations there, or displays they have sent, and a chance to meet people from the village informally over wine, soft drinks and nibbles. Everyone is welcome! There's more about this on the front page of this month's magazine.

The Passion
The BBC have produced a new series, to be shown during Holy Week, telling the story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. "The Passion" will run throughout the week, starting on Palm Sunday, and it looks as if it will be very good. I don't know what time it will be broadcast - it may clash with our own services through the week, but that's what your DVD or Video is for!
You can find out more here on the BBC website. The rejesus site also has some information and a lot of other material about the events of Holy Week to prompt thought and reflection.
