Lent colouring !

Our Lent colouring sheet is now available!
If you enjoyed our Advent Colouring,  I hope you'll enjoy this too.
You can print out the pictures below or download a pdf version here,
The colouring is designed to start on Ash Wednesday, (Feb 10). You can either colour a space a day, which will mean you finish at the beginning of Holy Week, or colour a space from Monday to Saturday, then take Sunday as a rest or catch up day. Strictly speaking Sundays don't count as part of Lent, as every Sunday is a celebration of the Resurrection! If you take this option, the colouring will take you right up to Easter Sunday.
Enjoy!

Churches Together in Kent news

Our Common Life: the annual forum of Churches Together in Kent is only seven weeks away, important research around sharing Jesus, report on the impact of church-based Winter Shelters...

We are so looking forward to the Churches Together in Kent annual forum. Please get your tickets here. On Saturday 5th March 2016 please do make sure your Local Churches Together Group or LEP church is represented. We share good news of unity movements across the county: church planting, winter shelters, how churches are responses to the refugee crisis.
We will hear about our involvement in Christian media in Kent, chaplaincies to the police and many other great expressions of our work together.
Opening worship is led by the Roman Catholic Episcopal Vicar for Kent, Father Paul Mason. Our keynote address is by Rev John Hellyer, Chair of the Methodist South East district, with seminars to discuss our Common Life in mission & worship. This event is primarily for those involved in Local Churches Together Groups. Please make sure your group is represented. Book now!
A special New Year message from the Presidents of Churches Together in England:
‘At Christmas, Christians celebrate  God’s great gift of love  in Jesus Christ.  It is a gift that the Christian church wants to share with everyone.  At the beginning of a New Year, we ask you to pray that the love of Jesus will transform the communities in which we live and witness, and that our churches will faithfully fulfil their commission to ‘make disciples of all nations’. (Mt 25:19)

The CTE Presidents also all support this fascinating, challenging and important research into how people are sharing their faith in Jesus in the UK. Click above to watch a short video or look at the research here. A great challenge to talk about Jesus in 2016.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is this coming week, 17th - 24th January. We celebrate the truth that Jesus Christ only has one church, although its expressions are diverse and many. We pray for greater unity of Jesus' chosen people, his royal priesthood, his holy nation - that together we may give glory to God. WPCU resources here.

Archbishop Justin Welby asks for our prayers for the meeting of the Primates of the Anglican communion, happening now in Canterbury.

Churches around the country are putting 231,000 volunteer hours into night shelters, according to a new report from Housing Justice. You can read the report here. This includes Kent based shelters in Maidstone & Medway, Bromley & Ashford, Tunbridge Wells & Folkestone. There may be more - do let me know if there's one in your town...

There is a great opportunity for men to learn how to share our faith. Sponsored by Christian Vision for Men, there are two opportunities in Dover on the evening of 22nd January (including a curry) and the morning of 23rd January (including breakfast). Contact Neil McEachen on 07876 156717 for more information.

Christian Aid have reached more than 400,000 Nepalese folk hit by the earthquake, What is the situation like now, six months on? Click here.

Lent starts in only a few weeks, on 10th February, because Easter is so early this year. Many Local Churches Together groups do studies together over Lent. Do let me know if you are doing something unusual for Lent or Easter. It's good to share...
