Christmas is
coming...
Here are some of the ways
we are celebrating at Seal Church which you might like to join in
with.
MESSY
CHURCH for Christmas and Advent. Sunday Dec 1 . 4-5.30pm in the Church
Hall. (That is the Sunday after next) Crafts and activities for all ages ,
story, worship and tea.
POSADA
Would you like the Holy Family to visit your home this Christmas?
Posada is Spanish for
"shelter" - this custom originated in Mexico. Our "Posada" consists of a
travelling nativity set (ours is very robust painted wood - toddler proof!)
which will go from house to house during Advent. Anyone can sign up to host it
for a night (from Dec 12 - it will be circulating in Seal School before then).
You can set it up with your children, talk about the Christmas story, sing a
carol together, say a prayer, have a party - it is up to you! There will be
story books and other resources with the Posada if you want to use them.Just let
me know if you would like to have the set for a night - you would just need to
be sure you could pass it on to the next host the following day so it doesn't
get lost or stuck somewhere. There's some more information here. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/59103132/The%20Posada%20information.doc

Crib.

Hope to see you during
Advent and Christmas. If you 'd like to know more about any of these activities
and services, just email or phone, and I'll be happy to try to help.
Everyone is welcome at everything, no matter how young or old you are, no
matter whether you are a regular or have never come to church before. No one
will mind what you wear or whether you know what you are doing! No one will
hassle you to join anything or commit
yourself to anything. Whoever you are,
whatever your life story or background you'll
be welcome !
