And finally….
This
newsletter is going out in Christian Aid Week. As we look forward
to the 2017 Annual Lecture, this week is maybe a good time to be
reminded of the 2016 lecture. It was given by the CEO of Christian
Aid, Loretta Minghella. The title of the lecture was ‘Does poverty have a
woman’s face?’. It explores both poverty and gender
justice. Watch the lecture here: You can watch the lecture on our You Tube
Channel here
One of the Inclusive Church Resource books is given over to
Poverty.

Susan Durber, theological adviser for Christian Aid reflects in the
book:
“If the church is to be the church, it must be the church of the
poor, a church in which giving and receiving are part of life, and
a church which is committed to ending poverty.”
In this Christian Aid week, maybe it is worth not only giving but
also reflecting on some of the issues that are at the heart of the
work of Christian Aid.
