Seal's scarecrow competition is just around the corner, so it's time to get your thinking caps on and start planning your scarecrow. Don't worry if you haven't got a suitable place to display your scarecrow or live outside the parish. We can find a place to display your scarecrow in the village - just get in contact to ask us to find a place for it.
Scarecrows need to be displayed from Sept 15, and will be judged from Oct 1. The winners will be announced at Seal Church's Harvest Lunch on Oct 6 . Download the form below to apply for your scarecrow to be judged.
SCARECROW SAFARI AND HARVEST LUNCH ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 6TH, AND YOU ARE ALL WELCOME TO JOIN US!
The Harvest Service will take place as always, at 10 am, and coffee and the usual refreshments are available after the service, until 11.30, when you can collect your map and childrens' trail chart, at the lychgate. This will lead you around the village, and show every scarecrow that has been registered by September 30th (in time for judging).. At 1pm, lunch will be served in the Church Hall, which will comprise of home made lasagne or shepherds' pie, salads or beans, and garlic bread or rolls, apple pie and ice cream. All this for a cost of £7.50 per adult, £3 per child, or 2 adults and 2 children tickets for £20. There will be some activities for the children at the lunch as well! PLEASE JOIN US!
